Здійснено теоретико-методологічний аналіз ключових понять, таких як політика, урядування та жіноча політична участь. Визначено, що політика як соціальний феномен, представляє собою участь людей у справах громади, суспільства, держави задля задоволення групових і загально-суспільних інтересів, вирішення проблем суспільства через ухвалення та впровадження владних рішень. Політика є стратегічною діяльністю, спрямованою на боротьбу за державну владу, її утримання, а також на підтримку правопорядку й стабільності, забезпечення належного місця держави на міжнародній арені. Публічна політика сучасних демократичних держав формується в умовах розширення можливостей впливу громадянського суспільства на процес вироблення управлінських рішень.Розмежовано поняття політики та урядування. Обґрунтовано, що під політикою розуміється управлінська діяльність щодо планування й реалізації відповідних стратегій внутрішніх і зовнішніх взаємодій, спрямованих на забезпечення правопорядку й стабільності, тоді як урядування передбачає забезпечення управлінської діяльності, що уможливлює та полегшує колективні діїчерез скоординоване прийняття рішень на різних рівнях. Саме ґендерно орієнтоване урядування гарантує вирішення всіх нагальних соціальних проблем у контексті забезпечення рівних політичних прав жінок і чоловіків.^UA theoretical and methodological analysis of the essence of the concepts of politics and governance, as well as women's political participation, was carried out. It was determined that politics is the participation of people in the affairs of the community, society, and the state in order to satisfy group and general societal interests, solving society's problems by making powerful decisions and implementing them. Politics is a strategic activity aimed at the struggle for state power and its further maintenance, as well as at maintaining law and order and stability and ensuring the state's proper place in the international arena. Politics is also the sphere of activity of political parties and public organizations in a specific social environment. It has been established that, in contrast to politics, governance is defined as managerial activity or social coordination, which enables and facilitates collective actions through collectivelyadopted decisions and not in a vertical, but in a horizontal dimension. However, as well as the politics of governance, it involves managing, ordering, organizing something and achieving set goals. It has been confirmed that party gender quotas and mentoringprograms to increase women's political competence are introduced to promote women's involvement in politics.The foreign experience of involving women in political life is analyzed. One such mechanism is political parties, which have a profound influence on the participation and representation of women in political life. Therefore, political parties are a kind of social elevator for women who aspire to be realized in politics. Political parties are a tool that allows women to have access to party resources and to lead the party organization. It is precisely women who are able to enrich the arsenal of the party with additional skills, knowledge and expert experience in decision-making within the parties. A forty percent quota for women is the ideal mechanism for promoting women's participation in most established democracies. However, only the countries of Northern Europe managed to fill and exceed the quota of 40% allocated for women. However, in the EU as a whole, the number of women in political parties does not exceed 30%. An important point for foreign democracies is to ensure gender balance at representative party events - congresses, meetings, meetings, etc.
