Рассмотрен процесс рекаталогизации сериальных и продолжающихся изданий в Научной библиотеке ОНУ им. И. И. Мечникова. Этот процесс дает возможность идентифицировать ошибки и неточности, если работы были ошибочно отражены в каталоге книжных изданий и помогает в раскрытии фондов библиотеки. Раскрыты основные проблемы, подходы и принципы в рекаталогизации периодики и продолжающихся изданий, описаны технологическая инструкция и методика процесса.

Розглянуто процес рекаталогізації серіальних та продовжуваних видань в Науковій бібліотеці ОНУ ім. І. І. Мечникова. Цей процес надає можливість ідентифікувати помилки і неточності, якщо роботи були помилково відображені в каталозі книжкових видань, і допомагає в розкритті фондів бібліотеки. Розкрито основні проблеми, підходи та принципи в рекаталогізації періодики та продовжуваних видань, описано технологічну інструкцію та методику процесу.

The purpose of our article is the description of the process of a rekatalogization of the serial and proceeding editions in the Scientific Library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University. Organizing the library begins during the period of Novorossiysky University – in the second half of the 19th century, the rekatalogization of funds passes in the second half of the 20th century at the Odessa University and becomes more active since the beginning of the 2000th years. The subjects of our research are funds of library. The purpose of the study is to describe the main problems and the principles in the course of a rekatalogization. The main finding of the work the identification of mistakes at arrangement of cards in the catalog if works were incorrectly were reflected in the catalog of book editions, and helps with disclosure of funds of library. The research findings have practical value for library workers for professional development in processes of a rekatalogization and bibliographicsearch.

The purpose of our article is to highlight some of the pages of the life and career of professor of department of the Russian history of Novorossiysky University A. I. Markevich (1848 - 1903). The main objective of our article - to describe process of writing and the maintenance of a historical note to the 25th anniversary of the youngest, at that time, university of the country - Novorossiysky University. The book is written with extensive use of official documentary sources – protocols of meetings of university and university affairs. Also data of private character were sources for writing. In the first part of the book the history of transformation of the Odessa Rishelyevsky lyceum to university is described, the second part is devoted to a systematic review of history of departments and various divisions of university, scientific communities and the student’s environment. It is possible to emphasize the author’s contribution to studying of history of university. In the article also examinesthe biography of A. I. Markevich, in particular, his research and teaching activities. A. I. Markevich was the member and the active participant of various educational, charitable societies and establishments. The main finding of the work is illuminationof historical value of work of A. I. Markevich “The twenty-fifth anniversary of Novorossiysky University” which is actual and today in connection with 150th anniversary of the Odessa University. The research findings have the practical value for historians, teachers and all by that who is interested in history of the Odessa University.

Досліджено історію Наукової бібліотеки Одеського університету в період Другої світової війни. Звернено увагу на перебування бібліотеки в окупованому місті. Розглянуто бойовий шлях та біографічні відомості фронтовиків-співробітників Наукової бібліотеки, описано їх внесок у подальшу відбудову та розвиток бібліотеки.

Освещена история Научной библиотеки Одесского университета в период Второй мировой войны. Основное внимание уделено пребыванию библиотеки в оккупированном городе. Рассмотрены боевой путь и биографические сведения фронтовиков-сотрудников Научной библиотеки, описан их вклад в дальнейшее восстановление и развитие библиотеки.

The purpose of our article is perpetuate the memory of the Second World War, the Scientific Library of the Odesa University was embodied in the life of the publication dedicated to the memory of fallen soldiers, which went on the front from walls of university, participants of military operations, guerrillas and workers of the back, later linked their fate to the Odesa University and, in particular, the Scientific Library. The subject of our research is the history of scientific library during the Second World War. The purpose of this article is to study the biographies and the military way of employees at the front of the Scientific Library of Odesa University, who from the first days voluntarily went to the front. It is – M. M. Ilyankov, M. V. Pavlyuk, V. S. Feldman, P. M. Bondarenko, E. M. Zenkova, S. I. Sergeychik and I. V. Shaura. In funds of the Scientific Library of the Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University there are numerous materials that relate to the history of the Second World War. Among them it is possible to note archive of the Scientific Library where information on the staff of university contains, and the university newspaper which is issued for many years, changing only the name. The main finding of our work is the assessment of a contribution of staff of the Scientific Library who selflessly protected the homeland, in a general victory over Nazism. Results of research have practical value for all who is interested in history of the Scientific Library and in general the Odesa University.

Мечникова. Значительное внимание уделено атрибуции записей владельцев, среди которых Юзеф Губе, Лукаш Родакевич, Станислав Микошевский и Казимир Хроминский.

Подано характеристику масиву власницьких записів у колекції польського славіста Анджея Францішека Кухарського (Andrzej Franciszek Kucharski; 1795 - 1862) з фондів Наукової бібліотеки ОНУ ім. І. І. Мечникова. Значну увагу приділено атрибуції записів власників, серед яких Юзеф Губе, Лукаш Родакевич, Станіслав Мікошевський та Казимир Хромінський.

Studying of book collections from the library stacks is one of the important problems of library studies. However there are no special works studying provenance on the books from a “dispersed” book collection of Polish slavist, ethnographer, traveller and bibliophile Andrzej Franciszek Kucharski (1795-1862), which is kept in the stacks of the Scientific Library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University for 150 years. The article characterizes a corpus of provenance on books from A. Kucharski’s collection. Gathering his unique library Polish slavist didn’t ignore book collections of his compatriots, this fact is apparently showed by various possessory inscriptions on his copies of editions. The author pays a great attention to attribution of owners of the provenance. Among them are an advocate, writer and theologian Jozef Hube, a Napoleonic army officer, engineer and architect Lukasz Rodakiewicz, an architect and geometrician Stanislaw Mikoszewski as well as a lawyer, pedagogue and philologist Kazimierz Chrominski. The article contains data on a structure of book collections, resources of their increasing and further fate. It should be accentuate that a book from Mikoszewskis collection is stored in the Scientific Library although it has been considered until recently that their collection has remained only in Kyiv. The author used historical, bibliographical and systematic methods for accumulation of facts, its systematization and theoretical processing.Finding results enlarge knowledge about scientific interests of bibliophile (studying and comparative grammar of Slavic languages) and give an idea of a history of gathering of the private library which was enriched with gifts and purchases by owner for over than 40 years. As a result of studying of possessor inscriptions (a main part of which only denotes the fact of belonging of the copy) previous owners’ personalities were attributed. The article is interested for historians, philologists, bibliographers and bibliophiles.

Викладено відомості про власників примірників, придбаних згодом професором Одеського (Новоросійського) університету, зроблено спробу простежити власницькі долі примірників, що увійшли до складу бібліотеки одеського математика.

The professor of Novorossiysky (Odessa) University I. Yu. Timchenko (1863-1939) managed to collect a remarkable library on the history of Mathematics which contained primarily antiquarian books including incunabula and 16th century editions. Various aspects of this valuabe book collection have been studied lately. Books from this dispersed collection have been revealed and examined de visu. Their cataloguing incudes the description of individual book copies in view of their provenance. The purpose ofthe article is to provide the information on a complex of owners’ recordings and dedicatory inscriptions as well as bookplates left on the books making an attempt to trace the fate of the copies incorporated in the library of the Odessa mathematician. The information collected is considered in the context of the history of Mathematics. Many records characterize, both directly and indirectly, the readers interest in books and reading. The study of provenance records demonstrate that the copies acquiredby professor Timchenko used to be in the libraries of a number of men of science – mathematicians, physicists, philologists, etc. The findings of this article enable to enlarge the database of provenance making the practical value and results of the research.

Проаналізовано історичні чинники створення та розповсюдження його на фоні розвитку книгодрукування праць з історії та значення видання праці В. Стратемана в розвитку історичної думки в Росії першої чверті XVIII ст.

Предложена историко-книговедческая характеристика издания произведения В. Стратемана «Феатрон или Позор исторический» (Спб., 1724). Проанализированы исторические факторы публикации и распространения его на фоне развития книгопечатания трудов по истории и значение издания произведения В. Стратемана в развитии исторической мысли в России первой четверти XVIII в.

In this article the author offers a historical and bibliographic analysis Cyrillic edition works of the German Protestant Bishop William Stratemanna “Featron or historical Shame” (SPb.: typography Alexander Nevsky Monastery, 1724) against the background of the Russian literary culture, historical thought and publishing the first quarter of XVIII c. The study revealed that the publication of secular books, in particular, historical themes, in Russia during this period was the state character and largely depended on the reform efforts of Peter I, who initiated the civil publishing, publishing repertoire, organization of translation and the formation of a secular book culture in general. It was found that the main goal of a secular publishing was the dissemination of ideas of education, science and education, the formation of readers’ needs, in particular with regard to the book of historical subjects. Stated that the theme of historical publications in the study period was determined by socio-political factors, public policy, as well as increased attention to the achievements of Western historical thought. The article defines the main directions of development of Russian historical thought, as well as the thematic repertoire of publications onthe history of the industry in the context of the formation of printing. The characteristic features of the development of Western Protestant and Catholic historiography XVI-XVII centuries. The analysis found that due to the socio-economic and cultural reforms, with the development of education and science, the need for a secular book, in particular historical themes have evolved relatively slowly. The demand for scientific, educational, industrial and secular book as a whole lagged behind the proposal,which is artificially supported by the state. Study of sources and scientific material allowed to disclose the value of the product W. Stratemanna - as the first Russian edition of the textbook on world history - in the dissemination and popularization of historical knowledge, as well as the impact on the formation of the Russian historical science. Identified the causes and factors that contributed to the popularity of historical writing in the first half of the XVIII century. Revealed the importance of translation and historiographical activity Gabriel (Gavriil) Buzhinsky - as a translator and author of the preface to the publication of works by W. Stratemanna - to familiarize readers with the achievements of Russian Protestant historical thought anddissemination of information on world history. The basic idea of how historical works W. Stratemanna and G. Buzhinsky preface, as well as their influence on the development of historical thought in Russia during the study period. On the basis of analysisof the sources and historiographical material reveals reasons prohibition and destruction of publications W. Stratemanna in 1749. The article gives a brief description of publishing printing Alexander Nevsky Monastery in St. Petersburg. Analyzed rates ofthe test edition, its presence in the libraries and book collections of individuals. The author attempts to bibliographic analysis of the copies of the publication W. Stratemanna that are stored in the collections of rare books of the largest libraries of Kiev: characterized printing features of these printed works, the state of frames and prints the contents provenientsy, marginalia and so forth.

Розглянуто питання електронної предметизації документів та створення словника предметних рубрик в електронному каталозі. У Науковій бібліотеці ОНУ ім. І. І. Мечникова відділом наукової обробки документів та організації каталогів проводиться редакція розділів тезаурусу, виробляється методика та складається інструкція редакції, вивчається процес редагування, що надає можливість покращити та удосконалити тематичний пошук в електронному каталозі.

Рассмотрены вопросы электронной предметизации документов и создания словаря предметных рубрик в электронном каталоге. В Научной библиотеке ОНУ им. И. И. Мечникова отделом научной обработки документов и организации каталогов проводится редакция разделов тезауруса, вырабатывается методика и составляется инструкция редакции, изучается процесс редактирования, что позволяет улучшить и усовершенствовать тематический поиск в электронном каталоге.

The purpose of our article is the description of electronic subject analysis of documents and creation of the dictionary of subject headings in the electronic catalog. The subject of the research is the electronic catalog of the Scientific Library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University. The purpose of work is development of a technique of edition of sections of the thesaurus. In 2012 the Scientific Library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University has moved to the new software ABISAbsotheque Unicode which allowed to improve (to simplify) search in the electronic catalog. The department of scientific processing and the organization of catalogs carried out edition of sections of the thesaurus, instructions are formed, and the edition technique is developed, process of editing is studied. Drawing up the thesaurus of subject headings is carried out by means of loans from full tables BBC for scientific libraries. Even if he has no clear idea and profound knowledge of a search subject,simplifies correctly made subject headings for the reader and does more effective thematic search. The main finding of the work is in need of continuous editing subject headings that simplifies and does more comfortable search in the electronic catalog for the user of library. The research findings have the practical value for employees of libraries.

Defining the role of libraries in Ukrainian universities in the integration processes of scientific publications in international scientific and information space. Features of realization new digital initiatives in Ukraine are examined on example scientific-technical library of Dnipropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport. Monitoring/analysis of information flow of world library information science (“DOAJ”, “E-LIS Repository”, “SciVerce Scopus”, social networks) has identified Ukrainian scientists’ low level publications presence in it. It is offered a number of current perspective libraries activity directions. Also implementation of it allowed strengthening the role of libraries in the formation of new information technology infrastructure of science and becoming libraries’ “points of growth”.

Дослідження спрямоване на визначення ролі бібліотек українських університетів в процесах інтеграції наукових публікацій до міжнародного науково-інформаційного простору. Особливості реалізації нових цифрових ініціатив в Україні розглядаються на прикладі науково-технічної бібліотеки Дніпропетровського національного університету залізничного транспорту. Проведені бібліотекою моніторинг та аналіз світових інформаційних наукових потоків (“DOAJ”, “E-LIS Repository”, “SciVerce Scopus", соціальні мережі) виявили низький рівень присутності в ньому публікацій українських вчених. Запропоновано ряд поточних і перспективних напрямків діяльності бібліотеки, реалізація яких дозволила б зміцнити роль бібліотек у формуванні нової інформаційно-технологічної інфраструктури науки та стати «точками зростання» бібліотеки.

Исследование направлено на определение роли библиотек украинских университетов в процессах интеграции научных публикаций в международное научно-информационное пространство. Особенности реализации новых цифровых инициатив в Украине рассматриваются на примере научно-технической библиотеки Днепропетровского национального университета железнодорожного транспорта. Проведенные библиотекой мониторинг и анализ мировых информационных научных потоков (“DOAJ”, “E-LIS Repository”, “SciVerce Scopus, социальные сети) обнаружили низкий уровень присутствия в нем публикаций украинских ученых. Автором предложен ряд текущих и перспективных направлений деятельности библиотеки. Реализация этих направлений позволила бы укрепить роль библиотек в формировании новой информационно-технологической инфраструктуры науки и стать “точками роста” библиотеки.

Досліджено активність використання інформаційних ресурсів НБ НУК науковими співробітниками ВНЗ. Мета дослідження - визначити специфіку інформаційних потреб користувачів НБ НУК, основні канали одержання інформації, роль бібліотеки як інформаційного посередника. Узагальнюючи і систематизуючи результати дослідження, дійшли висновку оптимізувати інформаційне обслуговування користувачів вчених шляхом створення системи заходів.

Исследуется активность использования информационных ресурсов НБ НУК научными сотрудниками ВУЗ. Цель исследования – определить специфику информационных потребностей пользователей НБ НУК, основные каналы получения информации, роль библиотеки как информационного посредника. Обобщая и систематизируя результаты исследования, сделан вывод об оптимизации информационного обслуживания пользователей ученых путем создания системы мероприятий.

We investigate the use of information resources Activity SL NUOS academic staff of the university. The purpose of research - to determine the specificity of the information needs of SL NUOS users, the main channels of information, the role of the library as an information broker. To predict future orientations in the organization of information studying needs of NUOS academic staff for May - October 2014 survey of 89 users was conducted. During the research the following features of the information needs of NUOS academic staff revealed: • A wide range of interests; • High requirements for timeliness and completeness of the information; • The interest of scientists in related fields of science; • The lack of a language barrier. Summarizing and systematizing the results of the study, it was concluded to optimize information service for scientists through a system of measures.

У статті висвітлюється інноваційно-методична діяльність Наукової бібліотеки Київського національного університету культури і мистецтв. Описано процес впровадження різноманітних технологічних інновацій у бібліотечне обслуговування, що орієнтовані на запити сучасного суспільства. Наведені приклади інноваційних змін та описані нові технічні можливості у бібліотечному обслуговуванні. Нововведення дозволяють поліпшити якість послуг, які надаються читачам вузівською бібліотекою.

В статье освещается инновационно-методическая деятельность Научной библиотеки Киевского национального университета культуры и искусств. Описан процесс внедрения различных технологических инноваций в библиотечное обслуживание, которые ориентированы на запросы современного общества. Приводятся примеры инновационных изменений и описаны новые технические возможности в библиотечном обслуживании. Эти нововведения позволяют улучшить качество услуг, предоставляемых читателям вузовской библиотекой.

The purpose of our article is the analysis of innovative and methodical activity of university libraries which develop as information centers today. The subject of research is methodical, publishing and innovative activity of Scientific Library of theKiev national university of culture and arts. We observe process of introduction of technological innovations in library service that allows improving quality of the services provided to the reader by library. New actual projects are developed, cultural and educational and information services extend, work methods improve. Also, the structure of library is improved – there are new sectors. The main finding of the work consists in systematization of various aspects and the directions of innovative activity of library. The research findings have the practical value for library workers, teachers of university, students, library users, and also for anyone who is interested in library science.

Рассмотрена деятельность Харьковского государственного театра русской драмы первого периода его существования (1933 - 1941), связанная с выпуском печатной продукции рекламного, научного и методического характера. Проанализированы виды этой продукции (буклеты, программы, книги), их содержание, художественное оформление и читательское назначение. Показано, как работа издательства театра была связана с его творческой и общественной деятельностью.

Розглянуто діяльність Харківського державного театру російської драми першого періоду його існування (1933 - 1941 рр.), яка пов’язана з випуском друкованої продукції рекламного, наукового та методичного характеру. Проаналізовано види цієї продукції (буклети, програми, книги), їхній зміст, художнє оформлення й читацьке призначення. Показано, як праця видавництва театру була пов’язана з його творчою та суспільною діяльністю.

Publishing activities of theaters in the 1920s and 1930s have not been properly studied yet by theater experts and bibliologist. Hence an object of this research is the publishing activities of Kharkiv Russian Drama State Theater while the article’ssubject are books and booklets published by the theater and now being kept in various libraries of Kharkiv. The purpose of this article is to characterize typology, subject area, and graphic design of the theater’s publications. The theater, apart fromits own stage productions, was expected to provide methodological assistance to amateur theater groups, to maintain contacts with various strata of theater-goers, and train young actors and other professionals. All these activities were reflected on manypublications: advertising and informational, popular scientific, analytical, methodological. Advertising booklets were regularly published for the theater guest performances in other cities of USSR. Stage productions of the most significant classical plays (N. Gogol’s Inspector-General or The Cherry Orchard by A. Chekhov) were preceded with scholarly and popular scientific publications whose purpose was to prepare the audience to the adequate perception of the play in question. The book Creational Activities in a Theater published in 1937 was devoted to problems of studying the heritage of the prominent theatrical figures of the past as well as their methods of bringing up new generation of actors. Collection of articles ’The Spring Sowing’ (1934) is as a bright example of guiding amateur theaters. Towards the end of the analyzed period, on the eve of WWII, the government funding of theaters was partly cut, and Kharkiv Theater had to limit its publications with advertising booklets and performance programs. Still, the surviving items of the theater’s publications allow us to come to the conclusion that its publishing activities, though interrupted by the war, used to be diverse and very interesting. Nowadays, they are an important source of studying the history of theaters in Kharkiv.

Шестерикова как любителя ботаники, всю жизнь посвятившего изучению флоры Одесского уезда Херсонской губернии.

Вказано його роль у становленні бібліотечної справи в країні, значення в розвитку університетської бібліотеки. Розкрито діяльність П. С. Шестерикова як любителя ботаніки, який все життя присвятив вивченню флори Одеського повіту Херсонської губернії.

The article focuses on two sides of life and work of former director of the library of the Novorosiiski University P. S. Shesterikov, who gave a lot for formation and development not only of the University library, but also library studies in the country. He was at the beginnings of foundation of the Odesa bibliographic society at the Novorosiiski University. He was a member of the Novorosiiski society of naturalists for 45 years, of which 12 (from 1904 till 1916) he was a secretary and an editor of the “Proceedings” of the Society. P. S. Shesterikov had two passions – books and plants. He dedicates his life to studying flora of Odesa uyezd of Kherson province although he hadn’t botanic education. His identification qualifier of plants inspite of its defects has educated more than one generation of students-biologists. P. S. Shesterikov started to gather his herbarium underlying of “Indentification qualifier of flora of Odesa outskirts” P. S. Shesterikov started to gather his herbarium underlying of “Indentification qualifier of flora of Odesa outskirts” (Odesa, 1912) in 1883. It is kept at the Botany Department of Biology Faculty and belongs to herbarium collection of the Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University. Actual content of herbarium of the ONU is more than 50 thousands specimens. Unique herbarium collection of plants was granted the National Heritage of Ukraine status. Newly published book “P. S. Shesterikov’s herbarium collection” (Odesa, 2014) written by group ofscientists of Biology Faculty of the Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University, promoted the collection was recognizable not only among botanists, but specialists in other areas.

Представлен аналитический обзор исторических предпосылок и структурных особенностей библиотечных классификаций на украинском языке первой половины ХХ в. Определены основные эволюционные изменения структуры классификаций разных периодов издания. Проведена условная периодизация создания и развития библиотечных классификаций на украинском языке.

Надано аналітичний огляд історичних передумов і структурних особливостей бібліотечних класифікацій українською мовою першої половини ХХ ст. Визначено основні еволюційні зміни структури класифікацій різних періодів видання. Проведено умовну періодизацію створення та розвитку бібліотечних класифікацій українською мовою.

The publication deals with an analytical overview of the historical background and structural features of library classification in the Ukrainian language of the first half of XX century. The main evolutionary changes in the structure of classifications of different periods edition are defined. The conditional periodization of creation and development of library classifications in the Ukrainian language are conducted. Purpose. The library classifications in the Ukrainian language of the first half ofXX century is the subject of inquiry. The publication is concerned with the historical development, origin and analyses of the library classifications in Ukrainian of the first half of XX century structure. The goal is to explain the historical aspects of the creation and analytical survey of the library classification in the Ukrainian language of the first half of XX century. Methodology. The investigation deals with the basic principles of historical and library research through combining scientific methods (generalization, analysis and synthesis) and special techniques. The information and archival methods are used. Finding. Analyses the historical aspects of the creation, implementation and application of the library classifications in the Ukrainian language of the first half of XX century; indicates the chronology and historical periods of publication and application of the library classifications in Ukrainian of the first half of XX century; analyses the fundamental and structural characteristics. Practical value. New historical facts about the adaptation, development and application of the library classifications in Ukrainian of the first half XX century are presented. Results. The library classifications in the Ukrainian language of the firsthalf of XX century is international, encyclopedic, concentrated, mnemonic, tensile, universal and systematic classifications. These classifications symbolize the development of meaningfulness systematization.

Висвітлено історію заснування кафедр богослов’я, церковної історії та церковного права, що діяли у структурі Новоросійського університету. Показано діяльність професорів, які очолювали ці кафедри, та їх наукові здобутки. Такий аналіз надає можливість оцінити внесок, зроблений представниками духовної освіти у розвиток богословського напрямку.

Показана деятельность профессоров, которые возглавляли эти кафедры, и их научные достижения. Такой анализ деятельности представителей духовного образования дает возможность раскрыть научный вклад профессоров в развитие богословского направления в структуре Новороссийского университета.

History of the Departments of Theology, Ecclesiastical History and Ecclesiastical Law of Novorossiysk University as well as clarification of activities of professors who were the Heads of these Departments is the subject of the article. The objective of the research was to reveal the contribution to science these professors had made on basis of such material as “Records of Proceedings of the Board Meeting of Novorossiysk University”, “Teaching of Sciences at the Imperial Novorossiysk UniversityReview” as well as the particular studies of the professors themselves. As a result of the research using the analytical approach generic aspects of existence of theological departments in educational structure of the University including the period ofteaching the theological disciplines at the Richelieu Lycée were described. The basic legislative acts regulating the activity of such Departments were stated and the activity of such professors as Pavlovskiy M.K., Kudryavtsev A.N., Voytovskiy V.M., Klitin A.N., Krasnoseltsev N.F., Dobroklonskiy A.P., Almazov A.I., Pavlov F.S. who not only became the significant persons in the history of the University but also played the leading role in social and spiritual life of Odessa in general was elucidated. Such analysis of the activity of the representatives of religious education at Novorossiysk University provided an opportunity to conclude of the importance of the theological disciplines in educational structure of the University as it is them that are ofgreat importance to the spiritual development of personality and society on the whole.

Розглянуто історію вивчення життя та творчості Т. Г. Шевченка науковцями Одеського національного університету ім. І. І. Мечникова. Висвітлено шевченкознавчі студії вчених від початку ХХ ст. до новітніх розвідок.

Рассмотрена история изучения жизни и творчества Т. Г. Шевченко учеными Одесского национального университета им. И. И. Мечникова. Охарактеризованы шевченковедческие работы ученых с начала ХХ в. до современных исследований.

The purpose of our article is the analysis of the history of the research of life and creative work of Taras Shevchenko at Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University. All historical periods of existence of the University were taken into consideration in the research, which gave the possibility to throw light upon the principal works of academics of Novorossiysk University, the Institute of National Education, Odesa State University, in the sequel Odesa National University, to the utmost and for the first time. Bibliography of academics, who touched upon the research of creative work of Taras Shevchenko in their academic days and professors’ articles in core academic magazines and separate publications became the subject of our research. The purposeof the study was to take up the formation of Shevchenko research learning at Odesa National University. Using the methodology of continuous selection from the mentioned sources the stages of development of academic researches at the University concerningthe creative work of Taras Shevchenko were analyzed and systematized. As a result core academics’ works were described in chronological order and historical events influencing the academic interests of the academicians were described as well. The main finding of the work is the bibliographic list of works of professors of the University, thematically subdivided into creative work of Taras Shevchenko research domain that is linguistic, philological, historical, culturological articles of creative work of Taras Shevchenko. The research findings have the practical value for professors and students studying the creative work of Taras Shevchenko and history of the University in general and for historians taking an interest in the development of science ofOdesa region.

Статья является продолжением публикации, посвященной собранию туристических путеводителей из библиотеки графа А. Г. Строганова. В ней рассмотрены туристические справочники специализированного характера, посвященные городам и их предместьям, наглядно иллюстрирующие процесс развития подобного вида издания. Как часть частного книжного собрания туристические справочники позволяют установить некоторые сведения биографии А. Г. Строганова.

Подана стаття є продовженням публікації, присвяченій зібранню туристичних путівників з бібліотеки графа О. Г. Строганова. У ній розглянуто туристичні путівники спеціалізованого характеру, присвячені містам та їх передмістям, які наочно ілюструють процес розвитку подібного виду видання. Як частина приватного книжкового зібрання туристичні довідники дозволяють виявити деякі відомості біографії О. Г. Строганова.

The intensive development of tourism in the end of 18th – early 19th centuries gave rise to a new literary genre and a new type of edition – a travel guide-book. Travel guide-books combining features of itineraries and short road-books became multipurpose pocket encyclopedias that contained necessary information and much useful advice for travelers. With the lapse of time betterment of this type of editions has brought to its division after thematic features and arising of new special travel-guides telling about one or few cities, geographic regions or wellness resorts. As book was devoted to a smaller region, authors had an opportunity to present necessary information in more detailed way. Travel guide-books are interesting for modern researchers, because of the information about the culture, economics and ethnography, a road system, a development of tourism infrastructure etc. The set of travel guide-books from the collection of a count A. G. Stroganov also carries valuable information about its owner as a traveler over the European cities. His numerous notes on pages eloquently testify that all of travel guide-books were used as intended.

The article is dedicated to 200th anniversary of birth of the great Ukrainian poet, writer, artist and thinker T. H. Shevchenko. The purpose of the paper is to study Shevchenkiana from special collections of the Scientific Library of the Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University. The author used historical, bibliographical and systematic methods for accumulation of facts, its systematization and theoretical processing. Shevchenkiana of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Department of the Scientific Library of the ONU is represented in M. V. Tereschenko, B. O. Lupanov and F. E. Petrun special collections. Rare and valuable books and article reprints with different thematic focuses belong to these collections. The article deals with: 1) editions of the end 19th century from M. V. Tereschenko special collection; 2) editions of the beginning of 20th century on life and works by the prominent poet from B. O. Lupanov special collection; 3) editions of the first quarter of 20th century from F. E. Petrun special collection which discover relations between Ukrainian writers (T. H. Shevchenko and P. A. Kulish), the history of Shevcheko’s village as well as memories about Kobzar’s exile. University copies of editions contains valuable provenance: stamps, autographs by owners etc. The finding results may be useful for philologists, historians and bibliographers and promote study of history, literature and culture of Ukraine. Analyzed books tell about keen interest of M. V. Tereschenko, B. O. Lupanov and F. E. Pentyn to Ukrainian culture so as T. Shevchenko is its part. University Shevchenkiana from special collections contains important sources for studying personality of T. H. Shevchenko as well as historical, geographical and local lore materials for studying of the Ukrainian literature and history.

A copy of Varnak by Taras Shevchenko from the stacks of Scientific Library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University attracted our attention because of its interesting provenance. The cover of the book contains an authograph «Разуменко» (Razumenko), inscriptions: «Ялинка дарує напам’ять Єромонах Микита 30/ХІІ-918» (New Year’s party presenting as a souvenir of the occasion celibate priest Mykyta 30/ХІІ-918) and «7.V.27 Від Б. Волянського Gratis» (7.V.27 From B. Volianskyi Gratis) as well as two stamps «Одеська українська національна книгозбірня» (the Odesa Ukrainian National Llibrary) and «Українська державна бібліотека ім. Т. Шевченка» (the Ukrainian T. Shevchenko State Library). The main purpose of the article is to sketch the history of the copy, which had been a part of different private book collections and municipal libraries of Odessa. Author used comparative and historical methods and followed principles of source criticism. The book published in 1911 in St. Petersburg was the part of stacks of the Odesa Ukrainian National Library founded in the end of 1917 by a cultural figure celibate priest Mykyta. The Library fulfilled the role of one of the main Ukrainian cultural centers in Odesa which gathered schoolchildren, Ukrainian youth, workers, cultural figures as well as statemen. Father Mykyta obviously presented the copy of Varnak to a member of Komarov-Volianskyi family on the New Year’s party in 1918. Mykhailo Komarov’s grandson Bohdan Volianskyi was a famous pedagogue and zoologist, researcher of fauna of vertebrates of the Black Sea coastal zone. His short life was cut in 1937 in five days after his arrest. Ten years before he presented the denoted book to Ukrainian T. Shevchenko Library founded in Odesa in 1920. After integration of its stacks with Odesa State Library and later foundation of Scientific Library of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University the copy of Varnak became a part of the collection of university Shevchenkiana. Finding results may be useful for historians studying cultural life in Odesa of early 20th century; for specialists on history of Ukrainian literature interested in the history of publishing of works by T. Shevchenko and in information about commemorative celebrations dedicated to the anniversary of his death; for specialists in librarian studies searching for facts about Odessa libraries and book collections in early 20th century. Stamps, autographs, inscriptions allow to learn new facts about known things (i.e. an existence of the separate department of the Odesa Ukrainian National Library on 20, Hradonachalnytska St.). The perspective of studying of Ukrainian book heritage of 1798-1923 is connected with further work with denoted complex of editions as well as with studies of activity of publishers, bibliophils, profice societies and libraries, especially those in Odesa, that had been working in the beginning of the 20th century.
