The purpose of this publication is to consider the modern complex of specialized databases as an important component of the system of intellectual resources of the V. I. Vernadskyі National Library of Ukraine in the state of its development, relevance and functional purpose. The research methodology is based on the use of a complex of general and special methods: scientific analysis, synthesis, processing of scientific publications, reports and information of the web portal of the V. I. Vernadskyі National Library of Ukraine, generalization; application of the principles of scientific objectivity and historicism. Scientific novelty. For the first time, a complex of specialized databases is characterized as an important component of the system of scientific and information resources created by the V. I. Vernadskyі National Library of Ukraine in the context of their development, optimization, restructuring, current statistics, accessibility and use in ensuring the information, knowledge and cultural and educational needs of society. Conclusions. In the context of modern geopolitical challenges associated with the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the V. I. Vernadskyі National Library of Ukraine continues to work on the development and optimization of an electronic scientific and information resource, a powerful component of which are specialized databases (72); unique in their content and potentially open to the widest possible audience of Ukrainian and foreign users; electronic information resources of the NBUV are of national importance, constantly developing, improving, enriched with new socially significant information, and integrated into the European and world scientific and information space.
