Обчислення параметрів активації дифузійного атомного стрибка в сплаві з розбіжністю розмірів атомів навіть в рамках простої теорії Вин'ярда абсолютних швидкостей піднімає концептуальні та методичні проблеми, які необхідно належним чином подолати, щоб відкрити шлях до звично здійснимої процедури. Наведено короткий огляд труднощів, з якими зустрічаються у випадках з двома досить різними модельними потенціалами; при сучасному стані обчислювального мистецтва тягар визначення навіть єдиного стрибка здається поки що занадто важким, щоб допускати його многократне повторення по досить великій кількості часових інтервалів, що вимагається будь-яким реалістичним моделюванням (за методом Монте-Карло) дифузійного фазового перетворення.

The purpose of the present paper is two-fold. On the one hand, we review some recent studies on the low-temperature strong-field thermodynamic properties of frustrated quantum spin antiferromagnets which admit the so-called localized-magnon eigenstates. One the other hand, we provide some complementary new results. We focus on the linear independence of the localized-magnon states, the estimation of their degeneracy with the help of auxiliary classical lattice - gas models and the analysis of the contribution of these states to thermodynamics.

An optimized load cycle registration and assessment method was developed on the basis of evaluation of the fatigue test series with arched test pieces. The tests were performed under Wohler-type and transient loading conditions. Test results were evaluated using different load cycle registration and assessment methods. The finite-element simulations were performed, in order to verify the systematical and random errors caused by the chosen test setup and of the test specimen geometry.

Розв'язано задачу глобальної стабілізації в скінченний час для загального класу трикутних систем з кількома входами і виходами та сингулярними зв'язками між входом і виходом. Для одержання основного результату поєднано метод функції керованості (що працює в околі нерухомої точки тільки для розглядуваного класу трикутних систем) з модифікацією загальної побудови для узагальненої трикутної форми в сингулярному випадку, що розвинута в попередніх роботах авторів.

Лібералізація електроенергетичних ринків висуває все більш високі вимоги до режимів обслуговування мереж; наприклад, компенсація реактивної потужності повинна здійснюватися по-новому. Надано систему аварійного забезпечення енергії, що складається з комбінації перетворювача перемінного струму, електричного генератора й генератора сонячної енергії. Дана компоновка дозволяє, залежно від напрямку потоку енергії, забезпечити аварійне постачання мережі або забезпечити компенсацію реактивної потужності. Це забезпечується за допомогою включення в систему нової модуляційної техніки, яка може бути адаптована в уже працюючі системи.

Purpose. This article aims to describe theoretical and methodological approaches and provide practical recommendations for implementing principles of sustainable development into the education process at universities for non-environmental study programmes. Methodology. Conclusions and recommendations in this article were made based on the contemporary scientific views regarding the tasks of the university education system to promote ideas of sustainable development among the society. They considered the main principles behind the reform of the higher education system in Ukraine and were supported by an analysis of results of the international project on "greening" university curricula conducted at the National Mining University. Findings. This article specified the mission and aim of the higher education in promoting ideas and principles of sustainable development. The authors contrasted the processes of education in environment-related study programmes and "ecologisation" of the non-environmental study programmes. It was revealed that the process of ecologisation of the university education is related to a significant extent to the process of "greening" the curricula of non-environmental study programmes. This article gave a definition for the "green" curriculum, analysed the main approaches towards ecologisation of university curricula and evaluated the potential of each of them in the context of Ukraine. The authors identified the barriers to the complete realization of the multidisciplinary principle and transition to the interdisciplinary ecologisation of the study programmes' curricula. Finally, directions for the development and a set of measures for the systematic transition to the "green" model of higher education were suggested. Originality. In this article, forms and methods for "greening" the curriculum of non-environmental study programmes at institutions of higher education were scientifically reasoned. The suggested approach was based on such principles as development of the interdisciplinary basis for curricula, integration of formal and informal forms of education, participatory approach towards management of the education process. Practical value. Realisation of the conclusions and recommendations would contribute towards approximation of the quality of the university education in Ukraine towards the requirements of European and international standards in this field.

Purpose. Presented research is focused on the issue of integrating knowledge about sustainability standards into the higher education processes through the partnership between technical universities. Methodology. The main conclusions in this article were elaborated based on the analysis of scientific literature on education for sustainable development, while also taking into account the results of a project on establishment of the International University Network ECO-Campus, which is currently carried out by the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg jointly with the National Mining University. Findings. "University partnership" is understood as a specific form of cooperation in order to create, develop and promote advanced technologies and knowledge through education and research. For the purpose of promoting sustainable development, such partnership has specific characteristics: it consolidates the management and support of a knowledge system on sustainable development; it expands the potential of teaching based on principles of sustainability; it creates the necessary conditions for the holistic approach to education based on the core values and fundamental needs of the society; it is open to joining of new members to overcome information gaps in education; it is supported by a variety of stakeholders, donors and funds sharing the same goal of promoting education for sustainable development. Originality. The authors identified the unique nature and investigated the specific characteristics of partnership in the field of higher education for sustainable development. Practical value. If realised, recommendations made in this article will contribute to the promotion of sustainable development within the curriculum of higher education.

The exact determination of the process zone temperature can be considered as an increasingly important role in the control and monitoring of the friction stir welding process (FSW). At present, temperature measurement is carried out with the aid of a temperature sensor integrated into the tool (usually thermocouples). Since these cannot be attached directly to the joining area, heat dissipation within the tool and to the environment cause measurement deviations as well as a time delay in the temperature measurement. The article describes a process and the challenges that arise in this process, how a direct temperature measurement during the process can be achieved by exploiting the thermoelectric effect between tool and workpiece, without changing the tool by introducing additional temperature sensors.
