What are computers in education being used for? In this book, Cynthia Solomon takes a welcome look at the possibilities and issues of learning with and about computers in schools or in any other learning environment. Solomon focuses on the use of computers within the framework of recent innovative theories of learning and education, particularly in elementary school mathematics. She devotes an entire chapter each to the work of Patrick Suppes, Robert Davis, Tom Dwyer, and Seymour Papert. Cynthia Solomon received a doctorate in education from Harvard and has worked with Seymour Papert's group at MIT and with the Atari Research Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Наведена інформація щодо адміністративного підпорядкування, чисельності населення містечок і її густоти, зміни чисельності за останні 40 років і за час існування незалежної України, історії заснування і надання магдебурзького права або статусу містечка, зміни назв містечок. Окремий розділ довідника присвячено найчисельнішим і найменшим за чисельністю, найдавнішим і наймолодшим (за часом заснування або надання відповідного статусу) містечкам України.

Випуск книги було приурочено до 50-річчя заснування товариства. Назва видання цілком відповідає його змісту – це історія задуму, створення та діяльності товариства. Окремий розділ присвячено самій будівлі «Українського Народного Дому». Багато місця посідають характеристики окремих осіб, що були причетні до його розбудови, а список членів товариства станом на 1934 р. наведено в кінці видання. Хроніку проілюстровано портретами найбільш видатних діячів культурного життя Буковини тих часів.

Посібник містить дані про основні інфекційні хвороби з ураженням нервової системи. До нього включені не тільки розповсюджені інфекційні хвороби, при яких часто вражається нервова система, а й деякі менш поширені інфекції. Проте додаткова інформація про ці хвороби та їх наслідки з боку нервової системи дає можливість своєчасно проводити діагностику та лікування. Посібник дає короткий перелік основних неврологічних симптомів та синдромів, а також словник термінів, які необхідно знати майбутнім лікарям. Кожний розділ посібника дає деякі нові дані клінічного перебігу, діагностики, лікування та профілактики вражень нервової системи при інфекційних хворобах, отримані співробітниками кафедри інфекційних хвороб та епідеміології ДДМА на базі міської клінічної лікарні N° 21 ім. проф. Є. Г. Полкової м. Дніпропетровська. Видання буде корисним для навчання студентів старших курсів медичних вузів ІII—IV рівня акредитації, лікарів-інтернів різного фаху, лікарів-практиків усіх спеціальностей.

«Нарис історії Сполучених Штатів» - одне з найдавніших постійних видань ЮСІА. Перше видання (1949-50) вийшло за редакцією Френсиса Вітні, керівника відділу міжнародної інформації Держдепартаменту, а згодом - Інформаційного агентства США. Науковими консультантами тоді були Ричард Гофстадтер, професор історії Колумбійського університету, та Вуд Ґрей, професор американської історії Університету Джорджа Вашингтона. Додатковий матеріал підготував Стивен Ендслі з Берклі, Каліфорнія. За минулі роки видання багато разів редагувалося, додавався новий матеріал; над ним працювали, зокрема, професор американської історії університету штату Мериленд Кіт Олсен та письменник, колишній редактор журналу ЮСІА «Діалог» Натан Глік. Професор історії Університету Маямі (Огайо) Алан Вінклер написав для даного видання розділи після Другої світової війни, а всю книжку редагував колектив редакторів, прізвища яких подані нижче.
