У монографії на основі узагальнення багаторічних досліджень автора, викладених у кількох десятках опублікованих праць, проаналізовано особливості повоєнного розвитку Німеччини, суперечливого виникнення та розв’язання німецького питання в його політико-територіальних вимірах, витлумачено конституційно-правові засади демократичного поступу ФРН. З’ясовано сутнісні складові партійно-політичної системи, сходження представницької демократії, розкрито шляхи утвердження політичного лідерства за системи "канцлерської демократії". Досліджено взаємозв’язок заходів економічного піднесення з консолідацією суспільства задля демократичних перетворень повоєнного періоду, показано їх значення у наповненні змістом соціальної держави і громадянського суспільства в подальшому. Розкрито етапи спокутування тягаря вини та подолання нацистського і тоталітарного минулого, проаналізовано засади формування нової стратегії державної національної політики у контексті сучасних викликів та імперативів.

On the base of the author’s previous research that partly was presented in dozens of articles, the monograph analyzes the main features of postwar development of Germany and the contradictions of the German issue in its political and territorial contexts, explains constitutional and legal basics of the rise of democracy in the FRG. The essential components of party political system and the process of implementation of representative democracy are clarifi ed, as well as the ways ofestablishment of political leadership under the "Chancellor democracy". The book studies the relationship between measures of economic growth and consolidation of the society for democratic transformations in postwar period. The author underlines its importance for further development of social state and civil society. The stages of overcoming the burden of war as a Nazi and totalitarian past are revealed, thebasics of the new governmental strategy of national policy in the context of modern challenges and imperatives are analyzed.

Die Monographie, die die langjährige und in ein paar dutzend Werken vorliegende Forschung des Autors zusammenfasst, analysiert die Merkmale der Nachkriegsentwicklung Deutschlands sowie die widersprüchliche Entstehung und Lösung der Deutschen Frage in ihren politischen und territorialen Dimensionen. Ebenso werden die verfassungsmäßigen und rechtlichen Grundlagen des demokratischen Fortschritts der BRD gedeutet. Die Monographie widmet sich folgenden Aspekten: dem parteipolitischen System, der Entwicklung der repräsentativen Demokratie, den Möglichkeiten zur Etablierung einer politischen Führung unter dem System der «Kanzlerdemokratie», den Maßnahmen des wirtschaftlichen Aufstiegs und deren Zusammenhang mit der Konsolidierung der Gesellschaft und den demokratischen Transformationen der Nachkriegszeit. У першому, виданому в Україні, навчальному посібнику з управління транскордонними водними ресурсами висвітлено основні положення водної політики в контексті транскордонних водних об’єктів, охарактеризовано глобальні водні ресурси та транскордонні річкові басейни, озера та водоносні горизонти. Розглянуто Конвенцію про охорону та використання транскордонних водотоків та міжнародних озер (Гельсінкі, 1992 р.), Протокол про воду та здоров’я (Лондон, 1999 р.), Конвенцію про право несудноплавних видів використання міжнародних водотоків (Нью-Йорк, 1997 р.), а також Водну рамкову директиву ЄС (2000 р.). Висвітлено питання води та збройних конфліктів. Навчальний посібник призначено для студентів, які навчаються за освітньою програмою «Гідрологія та інтегроване управління водними ресурсами» спеціальності 103 «Науки про Землю». The first textbook on transboundary water resources management, published in Ukraine, reflects the main provisions of water policy in the context of transboundary water bodies, characterizes global water resources and transboundary river basins, lakes and aquifers. The Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (Helsinki, 1992), the Protocol on Water and Health (London, 1999), and the Convention on the Law of the Non-navigational Uses of International Watercourses (New York, 1997) are considered. ), as well as the EU Water Framework Directive (2000). Issues of water and armed conflicts are covered. The textbook is intended for university students studying in the educational program “Hydrology and Integrated Water Resources Management”, specialty 103 “Earth Sciences”. It may also be useful for students of other educational programs in hydrological and hydroecological fields.

Пропонована наукова праця є спробою виявлення та аналізу основних суспільно-політичних та історичних аспектів розвитку сучасної єврейської громади України, а також висвітлення основних перспектив її розвитку у найближчому майбутньому в контексті європейського шляху поступу України. Дослідження проводилося співробітниками Центру єврейської історії та культури Інституту політичних і етнонаціональних досліджень ім. І. Ф. Кураса НАН України та було підтримано вченими з інших наукових установ. У монографії розкриваються питання розвитку хасидизму на сучасному етапі, історична доля кримчаків, особливості комплексної меморіалізації Бабиного Яру, відносини єврейських громад Європейського Союзу з національними урядами, можливість запозичення й застосування цього досвіду в українських реаліях та ін.

The proposed scientific work is an attempt to identify and analyze the main sociopolitical and historical aspects of the modern Jewish community in Ukraine development, as well as to highlight the main prospects for its development in the near future in the context of Ukraine's European path of progress. The study was conducted by the Center of Jewish History and Culture of Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and was supported by scientists from other scientific institutions. The monograph reveals the development of Hasidism at the present stage, the historical fate of Krymchaks, the peculiarities of the complex memorialization of Babyn Yar, the relationship between Jewish communities in European Union countries and national governments, the possibility of borrowing this experience and applying it in Ukrainian realities and others.

In the monograph, based on a wide range of diverse sources and literature, the author analyzes the process of establishing of the regional political elite of Vinnytsia region – its structure at various historical stages, as well as the main mechanisms of recruitment and promotion channels of elite actors. The immanent connection of the old Communist Party elite of the Soviet era with the modern regional political elite of Vinnytsia region is shown. The key values and identities of the regional elite have been identified and characterized, and it has been established that the real values are in stark contrast to the declared ones. The political behavior of representatives of the political elite of the region is covered in detail. The important role of informal connections and practices in the formation, structuring and functioning of the political elite of the region is clarified.

У монографії досліджено поведінку виборців, що електорально не визначилися, на основі аналізу президентських та парламентських виборчих кампаній 2010–2019 рр. в Україні, Франції та Польщі. Визначено основні чинники впливу на формування електоральних преференцій громадян, на причини зростання електоральної невизначеності та абсентеїзму. Запропоновано рекомендації щодо зменшення рівня електоральної невизначеності серед населення України.

The monograph examines the behavior of undecided voters, based on an analysis of the presidential and parliamentary election campaigns of 2010-2019 in Ukraine, France and Poland. The main factors influencing the formation of electoral preferences of citizens, the reasons for the growth of electoral uncertainty and absenteeism are identified. Recommendations for reducing the level of electoral uncertainty among the population of Ukraine are proposed.

In the monograph it was researched the public administration of hunting in Galicia in the late XIX – early XX. The main focus is on the principles of public administration of organization and conducting hunting in Galicia, anti-poaching campaigns, organization of hunting security, issuing hunting tickets, compensation for damage inflicted on agriculture by hunting animals. The dependence of public regulation of hunting on socio-political state orders and regimes of governance is also analysed. Based on theoretical development and positive experience of hunting conducting, a personal view of hunting development at present level of public administration reformation is offered.

Die Monographie beleuchtet die wichtigsten Tendenzen in der Gestaltung und Umsetzung globaler Politik in Deutschland während der sechzehnjährigen Amtszeit von Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel. Sie basiert auf der Verdeutlichung der Bandbreite von Diskursen zur „Weltpolitik“, historiographischen Ansätzen in der Analyse der Außenpolitik einer erstarkten Demokratie und einer bedeutenden Reihe von Tatsachenereignissen, Bestrebungen und Maßnahmen des modernen Deutschlands und seiner Diplomatie in diesem Zusammenhang. Die Autoren analysieren die Faktoren der Stärkung der europäischen Komponente, die zu einer grundlegenden Priorität der modernen deutschen Diplomatie geworden ist, Berlins aktuelle Herangehensweisen an den postsowjetischen Raum im Kontext der Entwicklung der Beziehungen zu Russland von Versuchen eine strategische Dimension zu etablieren bis hin zu ihrer Anpassung bei der Eindämmung von Russlands hybridem Krieg gegen die Ukraine und europäische Demokratien. Eine Analyse der Besonderheiten der Beziehungen zwischen Deutschland und den Vereinigten Staaten dieser Zeit, wird vorgenommen die Überwindung der Komplikationen, die durch die Turbulenzen im amerikanischen Machtolymp verursacht wurden, und ihre Rückführung auf den Weg der Zusammenarbeit werden thematisiert. The monograph reveals the main formation and realization tendencies of FRG global policy during a period of 16 years Angela Merkel’s chancellorship. It based onclarifying the advances of German «world policy» discourse, historiographical analysis of foreign political activities by consolidated democratic country, as well as of factual events wide range, modern Germany and its diplomacy efforts and measures in this context. The authors reviewed strengthening factors of the European component, which has become modern German diplomacy fundamental priority. Also, they analyzed Berlin’s current approaches to the post-Soviet countries in the context of relations with Russia evolution from the attempts to establish a strategic cooperation to its adaptation while containment Russia’s hybrid war against Ukraine and European democracies. The book clarifi es the specifi c features of FRG-US relations, which became apparent due to turbulence in the American highest offi ces during mentioned period. German international policy toward the Middle East in the context of preventive and crisis diplomacy is highlighted,Latin American direction, Indo-Pacifi c vector are covered in the research. Furthermore, the authors examined the new German policy on development assistance to Africancountries, providing multilateral diplomacy and problems and challenges connected withFRG’s participation in peacemaking missions. The monograph contains the kaleidoscope of the events in mentioned framework.

Книга є другим, оновленим і доповненим виданням авторської монографії “Природа утворення відходів. Додаток до управління відходами”, опублікованої у 2007 році. Робота отримала визнання в науковому співтоваристві як в Україні, так і за кордоном, в Німеччині, США, Польщі, Угорщині, Литві, як фундаментальне дослідження з питань, пов'язаних із сутністю такого явища, як утворення промислових відходів, світооглядовими проблемами, пов'язаними з неминучістю появи відходів, перспективами їх знищення, переробкою в світлі сучасних тенденцій, спрямованих на мінімізацію цього продукту людської діяльності. У другому виданні монографії автор доповнив роботу новими дослідженнями виключно в охопленій галузі знань, надавши основного значення конкретизації сутності феномена утворення відходів у виробничих системах. Розширено знання щодо ентропії цих процесів, уточнено і значно посилено аспекти, спрямовані на розуміння внутрішніх фізичних, зокрема, енергетичних, а також економічних процесів, що призводять до утворення відходів. The book is the second, revised and supplemented edition of the author's monograph “The Nature of Waste Generation (Applied to Waste Management)”, published in 2007. This work has been recognized in the scientific community both in Ukraine and abroad, in Germany, USA, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, among scientists of Russia, as a fundamental research of the essence of such phenomenon as industrial waste formation, world outlook problems, connected with inevitability of waste formation, perspectives of its destruction, processing in light of modern tendencies, aimed at minimization of this product of human activity. In the second edition of the monograph the author supplemented the work with new researches exclusively in the covered field of knowledge, giving the main importance to concretization of the essence of the phenomenon of waste formation in production systems. Knowledge of the energy-entropy of these processes has been expanded, and aspects aimed at understanding the internal physical, in particular energy, as well as economic processes that lead to waste formation have been clarified and substantially strengthened. In the years that have passed since the first edition appeared, the author and his team have carried out numerous studies in the field of a variety of artificial technologies, tested in practice the developed and refined methods of research in the field of waste minimization, evaluation of the theoretical minimum of waste generation. I am grateful to the work and activity of my colleagues, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Kovalenko G. D., Professor Kapustin A. E. and Associate Professor Danilova T. G., who contributed many of the ideas and developments, which are given in the book and on which the author relied in his research. Such studies, among others, led to the designation of a new promising direction in the field of modern ecology — retroecology, the science of waste generation in ancient technologies.

The monograph is intended for researchers, undergraduate and graduate students specializing in the subject of research. The work requires some special training in thermodynamics, economics, mathematics, inclination to analytical thinking and curiosity.

The collective monograph is devoted to the one of most discussed in Ukrainian society problem that concerns the relationship between the character of political governing and socio-economic situation. The focus of the book is key problem to this question – about the level of social responsibility of the country ruling class and its main segments, such as political parties, ruling regime, business corporations, spiritual and intellectual leaders, etc. The book contains analysis of the degree of the ruling class awareness of their responsibility and of their willingness to act responsibly the immediate and long-term consequences of their actions. The analysis is illustrated with situation in a number of political and spiritual spheres, the situation in which is important for overcoming the crisis and for consolidating citizens to find way out.

The monograph was prepared based on the results of the research project "Social Responsibility in Political Activity in Modern Ukraine: Status and Trends", carried out within the framework of the target research program "Social Ideal and Political Interests in Modern Ukraine". The book is intended for scientists, politicians, and both post- and undergraduate students of political science, as well as for everyone who is interested in the peculiarities of political development of Ukraine.

Темою монографії є музейна юдаїка в Україні та колекція юдаїки в зібранні Національного музею історії України. До уваги читачів пропонується концептуалізація та систематизація досвіду студіювання теми в головному історичному музеї України. В музейній колекції зберігається чисельна кількість різноманітних пам’яток юдаїки, які належали зниклим єврейським спільнотам України та деяких східноєвропейських країн. Це надбання понад ста років діяльності музею в різних історичних умовах від початку ХХ ст. Сучасне розуміння віднайдених і збережених пам’яток через їхню культурну, історичну, соціальну та меморіальну цінність контрастує з типовим сприйняттям музейних предметів як мовчазних об’єктів у музейних вітринах. Кількість представлених пам’яток з 18 музейних колекцій (16 груп зберігання фондів та дві колекції з музейної бібліотеки) – близько 500 одиниць.

The subject of the proposed monograph is museum Judaica in Ukraine and Judaica in the collection of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine (Kyiv). All interested readers are invited conceptualization and systematization of experience of studying Judaica in the main historical museum of Ukraine. The museum collection contains a significant number of various Judaica objects that belonged to the disappeared Jewish communities of Ukraine and some Eastern European countries. These museum objects are assets of more than a hundred years of the institution's activity in various historical conditions from the beginning of the XX century. The modern understanding of the recovered and preserved Judaica objects for their cultural, historical, social and memorial value contrasts with the typical perception of objects as the silent exhibits in museum showcases. The total number of Judaica objects from 18 collections (16 fund storage groups and two collections from the museum library) presented in the monograph is about 500.

This monograph is intended for all those interested in the history of the Jewish community of Ukraine, Judaica, common cultural heritage, Ukrainian studies, as well as art history, bibliography, biography, Book studies, ethnography, museology, numismatics, prosopography and jewelry.

The monograph was published as part of the series of publications «Disclosure of Cultural Heritage» by the NGO "Culture for the Future".

У монографії здійснено аналіз сутнісного змісту, стану та динаміки ціннісних орієнтацій населення Сходу та Півдня України, його суспільної поведінки і суспільних практик в умовах російської агресії. На основі використання широкої емпіричної бази, результатів досліджень соціологічних служб проаналізовано основні ідеологеми «Русского мира», головні канали їх поширення в Україні та способи адаптації до специфічних українських реалій, стан поширеності та динаміку національно-громадянських цінностей. Досліджено демографічний розподіл та еволюцію мовних ідентичностей і практик населення Сходу та Півдня України, динаміку релігійно-конфесійних преференцій населення, особливості й характер етнокультурної політики в регіоні, поведінку та мобільність основних акторів етнокультурної сфери. Сформульовано рекомендації щодо розробки та реалізації стратегії суспільної консолідації.

The monograph analyzes the essential content, condition and dynamics of value orientations of the population of the East and South of Ukraine, its social behavior and social practices in the context of Russian aggression. Based on the use of a broad empirical base, the results of research by sociological services analyzed the main ideologies of «Russian World», the main channels of their spread in Ukraine and ways to adapt to specific Ukrainian realities, the prevalence and dynamics of national and civic values. Demographic distribution and evolution of linguistic identities and practices of the population of East and South of Ukraine, dynamics of religious-confessional preferences of the population, peculiarities and nature of ethnocultural policy in the region, behavior and mobility of the main actors of ethnocultural sphere were studied. Recommendations for the development and implementation of a social consolidation strategy have been formulated.

The book is designed for scientists, politicians, activists of non-governmental organizations, everyone who is interested in the problems of national development.
