Based on the methods of scientific and critical analysis — historical-systemic, comparative and extrapolation — a collection of photo documents (negatives on glass, film and clichés) was first studied, the so-called «Petro Kurinnyi’s Archive», fond 381 «Ukrainian Free University» of the Institute of Manuscript of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, and new visual documents were introduced into scientific circulation. The quantitative and qualitative indicators of the named collection were highlighted, its structure, the origin of its components were investigated and the images on the negatives of the group «Ukrainian Institutions of Science and Culture» were attributed. The collection includes 1,340 photo documents from the 1900s—1940s and consists of three parts — private archives, in particular of the artist, art historian Prof. Damian Horniatkevych; negatives made after World War II in the Ukrainian camps for displaced persons «Somme Kazerne» in Augsburg and «Regensburg—Oselia» / «Ganghofersiedlung» in Regensburg (Bavaria, Germany); negatives from pre-war collections of Ukrainian institutions of science and culture. The publication is intended for historians, art historians, museum workers, local historians, in particular Kyiv historians, and all those interested in history and art. Cite: Sebta Tetiana.
