The monograph is devoted to the organization of the system of preservation of library and archival fonds, which constitute the cultural heritage of Ukraine in modern conditions, the tasks of classical conservation and the prospects of digital transformation of this system for the preservation of information of especially valuable fonds of V. I. Vernadskyi National National Library of Ukraine. The main components of the process of modernization of the system of preservation of especially valuable library documents with traditional and non-traditional media are highlighted: technological, material science and biological aspects, as well as the integration of the achievements of the latest technologies into library practice. The monograph is addressed to a wide range of library specialists, specialists in the preservation of library and archival documents experience, as well as students, postgraduates, and lecturers.
