The edition presents the archaeographic descriptions of documents from the late 17th to the mid-19th centuries, singled out within Fond 101 "Nizhyn Greek Magistrate" of the State Archives of the Chernihiv Region as "Greek Dossiers," which for a long time, for various reasons, were not involved in the scientific sphere. The cases contain documents from the archive of the Nizhyn Greek Brotherhood and the Nizhyn Greek Magistrate, as well as documents from private archives of Greek brethren or their trading societies. Documents written in Modern Greek and other languages clarify the church and organizational structures of the Nizhyn Greek Brotherhood, the nature of their self-governing judiciary, the trade and entrepreneurial activities of the Greeks, as well as the peculiarities of daily life and interpersonal relationships among the brotherhood members. The proposed Archaeographic Description will be useful to all researchers of the Greek presence in Ukraine, the history of the development of trade in European territories, and the role of the Greek diaspora in creating a widespread network of interstate economic relations in the 18th – first half of the 19th century.
