In § 3.1. “Digital humanities tools in academic libraries, archives, and museums around the world” (Serhii Harahulia) describes the analysis of leading digital humanities projects in Europe shows that they have successfully completed the stage of introducing digitized resources into scientific circulation and are currently prioritizing the implementation of tools suitable for analyzing large multi-format data with maximum productivity. Humanities research support services include a significant number of innovative technological solutions for archaeography, source studies, codicology, lexicography, palaeography, prosopography, etc., enabling significant scientific results to be achieved in archival, library and museum work. The vast majority of the projects analyzed are corporate, involving specialists from scientific and cultural institutions, libraries, and programmers, which generally corresponds to the multidisciplinary nature of scientific development at the present stage.At the same time, it is worth noting the dispersion of projects in the field of digital humanities presented on the EADH platform. The presence of a large number of narrow-profile projects is not supported by their integration into a common scientific resource, and the lack of unified systemic solutions leads to disordered presentation of research data and gaps and/or duplication in the representation of information. Often, grant funding for projects results in a long pause in their implementation, giving the impression of sporadic activity, and this lack of continuity undermines the conclusions and results of the research. For comparison, it is worth mentioning the leading resource for digital humanities developed by the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine — the Digital Library of Historical and Cultural Heritage , which was originally created on the basis of integrated presentation in a single access window of all the institution's digital collections — manuscripts, old prints, newspapers, visual, cartographic, musical documents, etc., and aims to provide permanent scientific support for the information sources posted there. The lack of integrated solutions in digital humanities projects, in turn, leads to the need to develop new tools and services each time, customized for a specific research task, when instead it would be possible to jointly use technological solutions already developed in previous projects or to set a goal of implementing multifunctional tools. In § 3.2. “Features of the organization of the full-text collection “Shevchenkiana” in the electronic library “Ukrainica” (Iryna Danylchenko) justified that, given the new challenges and uncertainties, the priority task for libraries is to accelerate the process of preserving documentary historical and cultural heritage through the creation of open digital resources. Currently, a significant part of the works dedicated to Taras Shevchenko is concentrated in the main and specialized library collections, which are being gradually digitized and becoming publicly available digital cultural heritage of the country and the world. Although the process of digitization and presentation of documents in digital library resources does not solve the problem of organizing a single resource of Shevchenko studies, it does, to a large extent, fill the gaps in the electronic collection of full-text documents on Shevchenko. The practical experience of creating a full-text collection of Shevchenko's works by specialists at the National Library of Ukraine shows the possibility of effectively preserving and presenting the heritage of outstanding compatriots through the development of flexible library historical and memorial resources based on modern information technologies. In § 3.3. “The e-collection “Literary and Artistic Journals of the Ukrainization Era” in the “Ukrainika” electronic library: bringing back magazines from the 1920s and 1930s into modern discourse” (Nataliia Loshchynska) has been proven that one of the current trends is the integration of all information and research results into a single information resource, both on individual research objects and on groups of objects studied by various scientific disciplines. Such information resources consist of numerous databases and data banks, individual files, varying in type and structure (factual, abstract, full-text information, images, etc.) and interconnected by deep hypertext links. Such integration of information allows the development of complex information-logical systems based on these resources, which solve the tasks of analysis, modeling, and forecasting. A good example of such information resources is undoubtedly the collection of periodicals, both scientific and popular, which are of great scientific and educational value. They are a collection of materials of various content, containing factual, scientific, entertainment, illustrative (graphic), and other information. At various periods of their existence, they not only carried relevant information, but also served as historical documents and as subjects of sociological, regional, and other studies. According to library research on the popularity of various types of sources, collections of periodicals are invariably in demand in the modern library system. In § 3.4. “The e-collection “Repressed Ukrainian Studies” of the National Library of Ukraine as an integrated digital collection of the national book heritage” (Olena Voshchenko) describes how, in order to preserve the most valuable book monuments in the context of the potential threat posed by Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the strategy for processing the collection the book monument “Rehabilitated Literature” was reoriented from a thematic-sectoral (based on a systematic catalog) to a frontal search de visu and subsequent digitization of rare Ukrainian materials (regardless of field of knowledge). This resulted in the development of new approaches to processing the library's holdings and the organization of an integrated electronic collection, “Repressed Ukrainian Literature,” on the platform of the VNLU's electronic library, “Ukrainica.” The mechanism for selecting Ukrainian literature for the electronic collection is based on the scientific tradition of the VNLU (P. Stebnytsky, L. Dubrovina, T. Antoniuk, theoretical developments of the Ukrainian Studies Department) in symbiosis with the empirical experience of studying the “Rehabilitated Literature” collection and taking into account the resources of the digitization department. The most significant research challenge in organizing an integrated electronic collection of Ukrainian studies from the former special fund of the VNLU is the development of a classification system that would ensure the organization of a heterogeneous documentary array and effective user search.
