In the collective monograph the evolution of theoretical researches and developments in the field of national bibliography, scientific and bibliographic information, biographic science of bio-bibliography in V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine during the first decades of 21st century was researched. Basic priorities and stages of computer technologies introduction into scientific and bibliographic science and significance of VNLU’s exploratory works for the development of Ukrainian bibliography were determined. VNLU’s contribution into formation of modern concepts of Ukrainian national bibliography, formation of Ukrainian bibliographic repertoire was shown. Fundamental multivolume bibliographic collections, works of bibliographic Shevchenkiana prepared by national bibliographic department were characterized. Experience of the scientific and bibliographic information department in improvement of VNLU’s multi-aspect reference and bibliographic activity in the field of information provision scientific, public administration and multi-user maintenance institutions was summarized. Extension of the Institute of Biographical Research scientific developments range, its achievements, most important publications, problem of forming the electronic scientific and information resource “Ukrainian National Biographical Archive”, extension of the virtual biographic research laboratory’s work on basis of the archive were analyzed.

For historians, library scientists, bibliographers, librarians and all others interested in the problems of Ukrainian national bibliography, scientific and bibliographic activity and biographic science.
