The publication presents the codicological and musicological and source-scientific descriptions of eight sets of partbooks from the Kyiv collection of partes music stored in the Institute of Manuscript of the V.I Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine. For them, N.O. Herasymova-Persydska created an incipit catalogue in which the initial fragments of the sheet music of spiritual works were translated from Kyiv square notation into modern notation and compiled into a score. Since this work of the scientist was in manuscript for many years, it was decided to supplement it with codicological and musicological source descriptions and in this way to represent it to the widest possible number of users. The publication consists of a preface, a scientific study, codicological and source studies descriptions of manuscript books belonging to the Kyiv collection of partes music, descriptions of musical works according to the incipit catalogue of N.O. Herasymova-Persydska, reference and auxiliary apparatus, bibliography and list of abbreviations. A number of works from the Kyiv collection of partes music have already been introduced into scientific and performing circulation thanks to the activities of N.O. Herasymova-Persydska, but most of them are involved in society for the first time. In accordance with the intention of the compilers, the sheet music texts of the incipits are not presented photographically from the scientist’s manuscript, but typed using a sheet music graphics program. Considering the large volume of the mentioned work, it is conditionally divided into three parts, similar to the incipit catalogue of the scientist - three sets of partbooks each in two parts, two in the third.

The publication is intended for researchers of Ukrainian culture, musicologists, art critics, choral conductors, teachers, historians, source scholars, bibliographers, librarians, museum workers, sheet music publishers and may become part of a consolidated catalogue of monuments of Ukrainian musical culture.
