The volume contains proceedings of the international scientific conference “Library. Science. Communication”, organized by the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (October 6–8, 2015). The papers examine current issues of the systemic development of libraries’ information and communication activities as an important factor of global international communications, providing additional opportunities for scientific, educational, cultural exchange, cooperation, and mutual understanding in the context of integration processes in the formation of the knowledge society.

Ukrainian and foreign specialists highlight theoretical and applied aspects of the creation and development of national information resources, in particular the national manuscript and book heritage, the advancement of electronic services, and the improvement of the quality of library and information services.
