The monograph is devoted to the use of knowledge portals in the activities of scientific libraries. The paper considered the principles of functioning and technology of the knowledge library portals which are intended for the consolidation and implementation of a single system of knowledge organization forimprovementthe system of access to sources of scientific information. The monograph elucidated in details the experience of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine in the field of implementation of knowledge portals for organization of support system for scientific research and presentation of digital historical and cultural resources of Ukraine. Defined the role of formation of electronic library'sthematic and personal collections as one of the important tools of knowledge organization atthe library portal. Shown the methods of using of library semantic tools (thematic rubricator, authoritative files) to improve access to information resources of library portal.

The monograph is intended for a wide range of library and information specialists, experts in the information and communication technologies who participate in the process of circulation of knowledge in digital communications.
