The proceedings contain the materials of the International Scientific Conference «Library. Science. Communication. Current Priorities and Prospects» (Kyiv, October 1–3, 2025), which highlight priority areas and current issues in the development of library and information potential; address the problems of the functioning of research libraries under martial law and ways to overcome them; and present the results of scholarly research and proposals in the field of librarianship, information, and archival studies.

Theoretical and applied aspects of the formation, use, and organization of access to electronic information resources of the research library in the web environment, as well as the optimization of library and information activities aimed at generating new knowledge and meeting the information needs of society, have been disclosed by Ukrainian and foreign specialists. Relevant issues concerning international cooperation and the sustainable development of the library and information complex; open science in Ukraine; library and information activities in the field of legal and socio-political information; the role of the library in the digital knowledge infrastructure; the manuscript heritage of Ukraine in the present and in perspective; the search for responses to the challenges of contemporary Ukrainian biographical studies; the present-day challenges and new opportunities of scholarly archival heritage; printed and electronic periodicals within the system of documentary communications; the history, current state, and tendencies of development in scholarly cataloguing of early printed and rare editions; the study of musical culture in contemporary conditions; the scientific, educational, and cultural space during wartime; as well as the specific features of responding to contemporary challenges and the global context of the institution of the presidency in Ukraine have been considered. The volume also highlights new tasks related to the preservation of library and archival collections that constitute Ukraine’s cultural heritage; the work of researchers of the Ukrainian diaspora; and studies of the Jewish historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine (on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Ukrainian Association for Jewish Studies).

The present edition is intended for professionals in the library and information field, specialists in the documentary and communication sphere, as well as lecturers, postgraduate students, and students of higher education institutions.
