"The Golgotha of Ukraine" - eye-witness accounts of the famine in Ukraine instigated and fostered by the Kremlin in an attempt to quell Ukrainian resistance to Soviet Russian national and social enslavement of the Ukrainian people. Dmytro Solovei (1888-1966) - Ukrainian community activist, statistician, historian, publicist, writer. He was a member of the Ukrainian Free Academy of Sciences in the United States (1965). His main study was focused on the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in the USSR, repression in Ukraine, and its colonial position. Solovei used a comparison of the results of the All-Union censuses of 1926 and 1939 to calculate the losses of the population of Ukraine due to the Holodomor.
